Fourteen caps and one goal for Poland between 2011 and 2013, including three starts at Euro 2012.

Choosing Poland

Never capped by the France senior team, Damien Perquis claimed his Polish roots and was granted Polish citizenship on 1 September 2011.

Head coach Franciszek Smuda called him up immediately. On 6 September 2011 in Gdańsk he made his debut against Germany (2-2). He then established himself at centre-back, despite a broken elbow in March 2012 that threatened his place at the home European Championship.

On 26 May 2012 in Klagenfurt he headed in his only international goal, the winner against Slovakia (1-0), from a Łukasz Piszczek cross.

Wearing number 15, he started at centre-back in all three Group A matches. Against Russia he played on despite a deep cut to his shin. Poland went out in the group stage.
